1. How should property owners send the information for advertising?

You may submit the information for listings online by first logging in as a user. Just click on the Login tab on the upper left hand side of this page and, if you are doing so for the first time, register yourself as a user or log in if you are already a registered user. Once you are logged in, simply click at the Post your offer tab and commence filling out the form. A successful submission will generate an ID for your advertisement. We will contact you informing the ID and requesting you to make the payment with the relevant instructions for doing so. If you wish to display photographs and other information such as deed, layout, etc, send them as attachments via email to us indicating the ID of your ad. If you wish to provide details of your offer in person, please do so at the nearest Collection Center.

In case of the classified ads, you may either submit the contents along with the payment to the nearest Collection Center or email us the contents and drop off the payment at the nearest Collection Center indicating your name.

Whichever way you submit the details, your offer will be published to our site after the receipt of the payment as per the rate mentioned in the answer to Question No.4.

2. What all information about the house or building on rent or sale will be useful in attracting customers?

For owners of buildings on rent or sale, displaying the following in addition to the basic description chart (details of the form that you will fill) can help:

(a) Photographs of the exterior taken from prominent angles with, preferably, subtitled descriptions
(b) Photographs of the interior with, also preferably, subtitled descriptions
(c) Layout Plan

In case of a classified ad, you will want to be as brief and to the point as possible

3. How can I be able to see the advertisement of my property and how will it look?

When your advertisement is successfully published and if you have posted it online, the relevant information will be displayed on the status log that you can access by clicking on the My Account tab. Please remember that you should first be logged in to do this. If you have submitted your offer in person to our representative, you will be notified by email or phone when your details are published. Please go here to see a sample of a typical advertisement by owners looking to rent out or sell their properties.

As to the classified ads, you will be able to see what you have put out within the “Classified Ad” box on top of our Home Page or by clicking on the More Classified Ads…>> link that you will find below the box.

4. What will be the cost of advertising for property owners?

There are three ways in which you can advertise your property with us at the respective costs:

  1. Standard Listing.This will carry a full textual description of your property as per a prescribed format. The cost for a month's publication will be Rs 1,500.


  2. Premium Listing. In addition to the details of the standard listing, this category will allow for display of up to 4 photographs and a few documents such as deed papers, maps, layout, etc. One photograph will also be shown within the “Hot Properties” box with the revolving photographs that is on the top right hand side of our Home Page. Visitors who will click on a photograph will be taken to the description page of that property. The monthly cost for this listing will be Rs 5,000.


  3. Classifieds. An ad in either Nepali or English of up to 40 words will be displayed within the box for classifieds on the top portion of our Home Page on a first-come-first served basis due to limited space. This being a premium spot, the cost for advertising here is obviously higher than the above two categories but, on the other hand, we accept ads on weekly basis instead of the minimum monthly duration in case of the listings. A weekly display will cost Rs 2,000. For customers who advertise on a monthly basis, we will provide an additional display equivalent to the paid duration in the inside pages that can be accessed by clicking on the More Classified Ads ...>> link that you will find below the classified ad box.

5. Who will the prospective clients contact – gharjaggah.com or me?

They will contact you directly as it will be your name and your address that will be listed on your advertisement. It is therefore very important that you consistently keep updated your contact address listed with us.

6. Can I edit the published information by myself?

No, you cannot edit the information by yourself. You will need to email us the changes required and we will do the needful.

7. I cannot find the type of property I am looking to rent or buy. How can I advertise my specific requirement and how much will it cost?

For those who are looking to take on rent or buy a property but cannot find a suitable proposition on our site, you may post a classified ad. The cost will be as described in answer to the Question No.4. Just remember to put your full contact details including your email address.

8. Can I put out commercial advertisements other than those related to properties and what would be the costs?

Yes, we accept such advertisements as described in the answer to Question 12. Please write to us for the rates.

14. What is the basic structure of your web page ?

Top horizontal This is the top portion above the navigation bar of the page with the logo on the right corner and a banner space on the left hand side
Left vertical This is the vertical portion on the left side of the page that runs from the top just below the top navigation bar to downwards. The navigation tabs are on the upper side of this frame with space for banner placements below that.
Middle vertical This is the middle frame used for our content with no commercial advertising banners
Right vertical This is the portion on the right hand side running from the top just below the navigation bar to the bottom of the page. This whole portion is dedicated to banner placements except on the Home Page and the 4th level onwards.

15. What kind of a mechanism have you adopted for rating your advertisement space ?

Our pricing structure is based on a descending order according to the levels listed on the chart of the answer to the Question No.12. For instance, the 2nd Level will be less costly than the 1st, the 3rd than the 2nd …and so on. However, where banners – except the fixed one on the top left side – are concerned, the rotating ones will be cheaper than the permanent types at their respective levels. So, the prices for the banners differ according to the levels and then, within the level, according to their respective types (rotating or permanent).

16. Can I advertise my property for both renting out as well as sale?

Yes. You will just need to advertise under two different categories (rent and sale) and pay accordingly. The property will carry two different IDs – one for rent, the other for sale.
